dR. jAE kU:
Dr. Jae H. Ku earned his A.B. from Harvard College, MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Ku has over 30 years of experience helping hundreds of students achieve success in their college applications. His success as a college counselor can be attributed to his experience in higher education, as he previously ran a think tank at Johns Hopkins and served as an alumni interviewer for Harvard .
Dr. Ku has been married to his beautiful wife Hannah for 20 years and has two wonderful children. He is also the proud dog dad of a 7-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Peanut. When he is not reviewing essays, you can find Dr. Ku spending time outside hiking or woodworking.
CHRISTOPHER HK LEE:
Christopher HK Lee is an internationally acclaimed entertainment and educational content producer and award-winning film director. With a career spanning over three decades, Christopher has established himself as a leading figure in diverse fields such as architecture, interactive media, visual effects, and animations, earning international acclaim for his directorial and production skills. In addition to his illustrious industry career, Christopher has also made significant contributions to academia, with over twenty years of teaching and lecturing experience at prestigious institutions such as Harvard, Wellesley, NYU, and USC.
Christopher’s impressive body of work encompasses a diverse portfolio of feature and short films, including compelling documentaries that provide insights into history, culture, and current affairs. Notable titles such as “I am Grace,” “Rescued by Fate,” “Flight Buddies,” “Fading Away,” “Hills of Arirang,” “The Last Tear,” and “Forgotten Victory” have been selected and screened at over 150 international film festivals, including esteemed events like Cannes and the Oscars. Christopher’s films have also been honored with more than 60 best film awards, further validating his extraordinary talent and unwavering dedication to his craft.
Apart from his achievements as a filmmaker, Christopher is also an accomplished author, with several published books covering a wide range of topics, including “Korea Exchange,” “Fading Away,” “Clever Swallow,” “Return to Midway,” “The Last Tear,” “A Reason to Live,” and “What Does Success Mean To You.” His literary works reflect his profound understanding and passion for storytelling, history, and culture, adding to his multifaceted expertise and esteemed reputation as a creative force in the entertainment and education industry.
